VOLUNTEER TO HELP

Lifeline Mission
Lifeline is a pregnancy support service, organized to respond to the woman who needs help coping with her pregnancy. There can be intense pressures that need to be resolved. The decision to have an abortion is often made in ignorance of other alternatives, or in fear of rejection. In any event each client is served uniquely and personally. Genuine care is offered whenever she calls Lifeline.

Lifeline Volunteers
Lifeline volunteers are the backbone of the organization. They are the women and men who engage in offering confidential and caring help over the telephone and in the offices. The volunteer acts as the bridge between the woman and the resources in the community that might be available to her. Theses resources are the people, individuals, and the agencies who will help to meet her needs. The Lifeline volunteer is a friend standing ready to help, not standing in judgment. Lifeline volunteers are always needed and are always welcome.

Lifeline Training
Lifeline provides a comprehensive training program for the volunteers. This includes learning about: fetal development, telephone intake, pregnancy test procedures, non judgmental counseling/listening skills, legal rights and responsibilities, social service agency contacts, adoption referrals, and office procedures.
